What did earning the Kristen Julia Drenten Memorial Scholarship mean to you?
"The day I was awarded the Kristen Scholarship was one of the best days of my life! I worked so hard to write an essay that would honor Kristen. She was my best friend and losing her was the hardest thing I had ever had to deal with. I wanted my essay to show how much she meant to me and how she had helped me! Getting the scholarship made me feel like I had honored her the best way I could. I was so proud to be in the first group of recipients for the scholarship! It was also special to me that Kristen helped me financially to get my degree! She was such a giving person and has helped so many students through her scholarship! Happy to be a part of it!"
